We proudly present you and advance of the upcoming different festivals we organize in the next years. For good amateur and semi-professional choral groups we do organize the Castile International Choral Festival the next 2016 (Xth edition) and 2017 (XIth edition). For semi-professional and professional small bands, ensembles and soloists we organize every summer from July to September our BlueJazz Festival open for jazz, blues, gospel and rock music and our Gospel in Spain Festival that we do organize every year on December, before Christmas.
CASTILE INTERNATIONAL CHOIR FESTIVAL

Perform in Spain is organizing every year the Castile International Choral Festival. For an exciting week in June a selection of choral groups from around the world will perform in the greatest cities of Spain’s Castile region. This is an excellent opportunity for your choir to interpret choral music in magnificent, awe-inspiring settings before appreciative audiences. Your group will join choral groups from other countries to experience the rich historical and artistic patrimony of the region.
BLUEJAZZ FESTIVAL- PUEBLOS BLANCOS FESTIVAL
From July to August , every summer
Open for semi-professional and professional ensembles who play jazz, blues, gospel or rock music, that what to come and perform in Spain for about 10 days. The festival will take place in different cities around Spain and your ensemble will play and travel together with other ensembles. This rotary festival will happen every summer and will be during all the summer period starting in July and ending in September. Open for professional gospel and spiritual ensembles who want to participate on our festival that will take place every year during December. The Festival will be a rotary one, where each ensemble will travel and play together with other ensembles in different cities all over Spain during the 10 days.
The Teatro Nuevo Apolo, known as the Apolo in Madrid is consider among the best musical theatre in Old Madrid, located 5 minutes from Plaza Mayor in the heart of La Latina . Its for many locals the Carnegie Hall of Madrid for its music tradition.
Since two years ago some international and national artists performed there such as James Taylor, Joan Baez, Camel, Pablo Milanés, Mark Lanegan , Katia Guerreiro or Simple Minds.
We are working for next 2016 and 2017 season for Jazz Big Bands in summer and Gospel Choirs in December 2016 & organizing our Jazz and Gospel series.

JAZZ, BLUES, SOUL, GOSPEL Some of the most important jazz festivals in Spain are running over the 20th edition, but is since the five past years where many small cities and towns are running independent jazz festivals too. Nowadays over that 50 jazz festivals are running in june, july, agust, September and October every year.
If you are a small jazz, blues or soul / gospel ensemble or an artist representative, we can arrange a concert tour for you all year round. We will also invite to participate in any of our BlueJazz festivals every summer and in our Gospel in Spain every December. FROM JULY TO SEPTEMBER, EVERY SUMMER
Open for semiprofessional and professional ensembles who play jazz, blues, gospel or rock music, that what to come and perform in Spain for about 10 days The festival will take place in different cities around Spain and your ensemble will play and travel together with other ensembles. This rotary festival will happen every summer and will be during all the summer period starting in July and ending in September. If you want to participate, please visit our page and get more information. To participate in this festival your ensemble must have at least one recording done in the past.
If you are interested to come to our festival and to participate is so important that you will fill up the form and you will specify when is the most convenient time for you to come, and to give us a time frame where we can use. Your international transportation into Spain will run under your own expenses. Also you must bring your main instruments, except the drum set in case you need it or a keyboard that we will try to rent from here.
Our goal is to provide to your ensemble a week where you will play several concerts and where you will share with other musical groups your experiences. We will try to cover all the land arrangements for your whole tour including the transportation, accommodation and diets, and we will try to do our best, depending on your own category, to get some extra money for you on each of the gigs you will play, but this much depend on your category and your music style. In case you will be a well-known artist, please contact us, as we will be interested to negotiate an extra money that will be paid to you before each of the gigs you will play too during the festival week, same as we will do our best to introduce you to some other international jazz festivals that will happen at the same time. If your band/ensemble is also interested to participate in one of the other Jazz and blues festivals that are running I all over Spain during the summer time, please let us know too. We do have close ties with most of the festivals in Spain and we can easily put in touch with them and work on some other concerts for your particular performance tour to Spain.

Open for professional gospel and spiritual ensembles who want to participate on our festival that will take place every year during December. To participate in our Gospel in Spain Festival your ensemble must have at least one recording done. Once you will be interested to participate in our festival, we will need you to send us your complete information biography and dossier with pictures about your ensemble. We will study them and we will get back to you with the conditions that we can offer to your ensemble. We will definitely cover all your land arrangements while you will be here that will include the transportation, the accommodation and the diets, and we will also negotiate with you directly other conditions as the estimated salary per gig, or if we can also cover your international air fare expenses. Our Tenth Castile International Choral Festival (CICF) is being organized for June, 2016. The Festival will bring together in various cities of the Castilian Region, during a period of approximately a week, a selection of choral groups from around the world. This is an excellent opportunity not only for your choir to interpret choral music in magnificent, awe-inspiring settings/venues before appreciative audiences, but also to be introduced to the rich historical and artistic patrimony of the region and exchange experiences with choral groups from other countries.
Castile, a marvelous backdrop for Choral Music
This is a one-of-a-kind festival in that it will be taking place in such cities as Toledo, Segovia, Avila and Salamanca, all of which have been named by UNESCO as World Heritage Cities for their artistic richness. In addition, performances will be given in numerous venues with excellent acoustic qualities and great historical value in other cities and villages of the region. The Castile Region is located in the center of Spain and has Madrid as its principal city. It is considered one of the richest culturalhistoric regions in Europe and as the birthplace of the Spanish language and Castilian culture contains innumerable outstanding examples of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance Art. In addition, there are numerous military fortifications and castles, legacy of the Christian re-conquest of the Iberian Peninsula from the Moors. The origin of the name Castile, land of the «castillos» or castles, testifies to the number and importance of these fortifications. During the past years, we have been preparing what we are sure will be a unique experience for participants: a Festival that will please the eyes and ears of both participants and audiences. Acoustically sublime concert venues in magnificent settings, interchange of ideas and experiences with other choir groups, and top quality accommodations.
2016 CALENDAR
The Festival begins on June 14th, 2016 the arrival date of the different choral groups to their designated Castile city. Upon arrival, groups will be met by organizers and taken to their lodgings. Before dinner, each choral group will meet another group staying in the same city in order to exchange experiences. The mornings of the 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18 th of June will be spent in visiting points of interest in the city of lodging: museums, monuments, cathedrals, etc., as well as meeting with other choral groups. After lunch (around 4 PM), each choral group will be taken to its designated concert site for rehearsal and subsequent performance. At the concert´s conclusion, the groups will have dinner and return to their respective hotels.
SELECTED VENUES
The four different performances guaranteed for each choral group will take place in each of the following: one of the cathedrals of the region, one of the Castilian Romanesque churches, an important historical building (castle, renaissance palace, theatre or auditorium), an open air venue (weather permitting), such as a plaza with excellent acoustic quality.
The length of each choral group´s repertoire will not be less than one hour. It is possible that on at least one of the performance days, one choir will sing together with another, or participate together in the same event, although the duration of each performance will always be an hour or more.

Please keep in mind that this Festival is not a choral contest or competition, that it is open for all good level choirs that want to travel , sing and meet with other choirs during a week of music and fun and that all choir members have to pay for their accommodation, transportation and meals that will be provide during the 5 nights / 6 days. We have different types of selected accommodations from student choirs hostals if needed to first class hotels for adult choirs.
«Mundi has enjoyed 3 successful tours of Spain, thanks to the wonderful people at Perform in Spain. We are a sextet from Austin, Texas and the foundation of our sound is the medieval music of Spain. Our dream was to come to Spain and perform this music from 800 years ago in the churches and cathedrals from that distant time that were still standing. Perform in Spain made our dreams come true. Each tour was carefully crafted by Josu and his team, and every detail attended to. Highlights included a performance in front of thousands at the Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada, an expedition to Morocco, and several shows in Leon, and on the pilgrim path to Santiago de Compostela. Throughout our tours we had a knowledgeable and fun guide/scholar with us, and our shows were publicized, and well-attended. Besides our work with large groups and ensembles, we helped during the past 20 years many small ensembles to organize their concert tours around Spain and to be part of some prestige music festivals.
During the past years and due to the crisis the conditions for semi-professional and professional ensembles had changed a lot and even that some circuits for classical music are open but limited, some others for blues or rock are limited to clubs where foreign and not well known bands are not well payed, or they are sharing money with the bar owners, etc….
We do hope the situation will turn soon and on the meantime we will be glad to receive your information and either to connect you with local clubs or festivals directly or if possible to manage your tour. We want to be an open window for musicians interested to come to perform in Spain for many more years!
